outine inspections are carried out on all poles. These checks are as per BS 1990: Part 1 and recorded on test sheets. For the poles to be strength tested on our test rig, they are randomly selected and marked for cross- reference. The cantilever method of testing is used, and a minimum of 10% of the order will be tested and recorded. On average we have found the Eucalyptus ‘Saligna’ to have a ‘Modulus of Elasticity’ (MOE) of 11,000 Mpa and a fibre stress of 55-80 Mpa for medium to stout poles.
